What I mean to suggest is that one ought NOT to make that connection, NOT try to understand the other's feelings. I'm taking it a little further beyond the concept of negging. It's not JUST about not kissing up or pretending to hold similar values. It's about having such a strong core that you draw people in to you, especially because you don't even care whether they get drawn in or not. I'll try and clarify this point even further soon. I can't speak for other companies, but when Pickup 101 refers to the rapport phase of an interaction, we just mean making an emotional connection.
